Busy, busy, busy - Enjoyed surprise visits from various cruising friends who have come to see us off. Had our SSB/HF radio checked and we're happy to report that it works - Well done Captain Roy for your expertise in installing it. We also completed our fresh produce provisioning and Elaine joined fellow sailors for a sextant lesson before topping off her day with a rehearsal of "Happy Birthday" on her saxophone and baking Roy's birthday cake in preparation for Saturday. Looking forward to a good night sleep!

Been a very busy day at the Palm Haven Hotel attending the Rally and Route Briefing, Weather Briefing and Downwind Sailing Seminar, topped of with the Rally Photograph and the Rodney Bay Marina Managers Welcome Party, where we enjoyed a fun evening chatting to more of the rally sailor's whom we didn't get an opportunity to meet on Monday. We also managed to get Paw Paw dressed, so she's looking bonafide!

Well, we're certainly not going to starve - Provisioning for frozen items completed and the freezer is bulging. Christmas decorations packed away - The next time we pull them out of the port forward bunk we'll have crossed the Pacific Ocean and plan to be in New Zealand for the Southern Hemisphere's cyclone season - eeeek!!!

Laundry done. Propane tanks filled. Pre-cooked meals started. Our website and Gallery updated. WARC Welcome Party in full swing and we were featured in the WARC 2016 news article - https://www.worldcruising.com/world_arc/newsarticle.aspx?page=S635874957978199188&ArchiveID=1&CategoryID=190&ItemID=244823&src=

Out celebrating - We're registered and the first yacht to pass the inspection - Even got a comment: "Wow, this is an organized yacht" when I pulled out our inventory in order to point Roy in the right direction to find our emergency antenna which we'd purchased and packed away 18 months ago.

The countdown has begun. Enjoying our New Year's Eve celebrations aboard with French Champagne, New Zealand Lamb Shanks, accompanied  by locally grown vegetables. Hopefully we will still be awake to see the fireworks at midnight. 10 days to go...

The adventure of a lifetime comes to fruition. Owners of sailing vessel Paw Paw, Roy and Elaine, join the World ARC 2016 for their circumnavigation. We hope you'll join us by way of our daily updates.

Oh, and we also have a Japanese crew member called Raymarine. He’ll be doing most of the work while we fish.
