The Boat
A 2011 Leopard 46 catamaran, designed by Morrelli and Melvin and built by Robertson & Caine in Cape Town - South Africa. We elected for the 4 cabin layout as we anticipate spending the majority of our time sailing with friends and family and enjoying the outdoor lifestyle this boat offers.
A major consideration in selecting this boat was the hardtop over the cockpit as well as the raised helmstation offering excellent visibility and protection from the weather. On long passages the front facing nav station with remote autopilot and chartplotter is ideal for bridge watch.
The engine compartments are spacious enough for someone to climb inside to perform maintenance and are located far enough aft so we don't have to gain access from the aft cabin.
